Fans anxiously await a Favourite

Canadians are anxiously awaiting the return of one of their favourite acts in the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo.

“Only in Halifax do we bring our pictures and sign autographs. We love it here in Halifax. The audiences really give something back,” says Flying Grandpas member Helge Westphal.

The comedic act made up of Hamburg police officers adds a light side to the world’s largest annual indoor show that audience members respond to in a big way. Canadians love the hilarious trampoline routines that have made The Flying Grandpas a legend in Tattoo history.

With an annual viewing audience of 60,000 the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is affectionately known as “Canada’s best-kept secret.” It is a spectacular display of military and civilian acts including reenactments, dancers, acrobats, choirs, military displays and competitions, drama and comedy.

Established in 1979, The Tattoo now has approximately 2000 performers from around the world every year.
